The experiment has failed… we have no garlic whatsoever! Today Lisa planted the garlic… it was getting a bit stinky sat in the cupboard and the house was starting to smell, so it had to go! Planted two bulbs (about 12 cloves) of Purple Moldovan – the stinky one – hoping they’re ok, one had got a little damp and one of the cloves [...]

Our seeds and potatoes arrived… we ordered them through our allotment association from DT Brown (works out so much cheaper if you do this!). So we’ve got: Purple Moldovan Garlic (the bigger bulbs in the pic, the others are supermarket garlic which we’ll experiment with) Radish – Scarlet Globe (plus two half packs left over [...]
