The weather wasn’t so kind today, but we managed to dodge the rain to get two rows of potatoes in (King Edwards) and a lot more weeding done.

Ok, not quite unearthing, but deep in the back of the cupboard we found some old seeds… no idea whether they’re any good, but thought it was worth a bash!
Planted in an old drawer (recycling as well!) we have sowed Sweet Marjoram, Parsley, Sage, Thyme and Basil (Sweet Genovese and Red Bordeaux).

What a beautiful day today… you guessed it – more digging!! We’re almost there, honest!
We put in another row of King Edwards and we’re already looking forward to the roast potatoes!! So there’s two rows of King Edwards now and we still have some left… in two minds as to whether we add a third [...]

We’re really liking these light nights! This evening we got a row of potatoes in (King Edward)… just need to dig over a bit more of the patch to get another row in.
Unearthed a ‘Swift’ potato from last year which was beginning to sprout so might stick that in on an end of a row… [...]

A bit behind in blogging, so here’s an update from our Sunny Sunday session!
Garlic is fab – the entire row has sprouted So glad we properly weeded that section as the leaves look a lot like grass! It’s not grass, honest!
Raspberries are doing well too – leaves are looking really healthy so far [...]

Dug up a pound of potatoes this evening… not to mention two slugs and a load of funny-looking brown bugs that were in a couple of them!
Very tasty indeed – boiled them and mixed them up with some olive oil, black pepper and allotment thyme and sage
