Once we managed to get rid of the weeds and grass (mainly couch grass, grrrr) on a small section of this year’s potato plot, we dug two ‘trenches’ to plant the seed potatoes. Now that we’ve cleared most of the weeds we can see our onions coming along very nicely!! Some are larger than others, but all are looking very good! The sweetcorn is also looking great and we can see where the cob (is ‘cob’ the right word?!) is starting to form on most of the plants. [...]

We’re back from Barbados, but sadly no trip to the allotment due to all the rain. We have decided what we’ll be growing though!
