After the disaster with the last lot of garlic, we’re trying again with some ‘Spring-Planting Garlic’ (don’t know the variety)… these bulbs certainly looked healthier than our last, so high hopes this time!! Just about dug over the plot (apart from the herb bit)… wouldn’t mind some frosty mornings to kill off bugs and roots we missed!! Still haven’t got the garlic in, but plenty of time… also time to plan properly for next year after this year’s laziness!

The experiment has failed… we have no garlic whatsoever! We know the garlic wasn’t in the best of condition, especially the supermarket stuff, but we did have reasonable hopes for the Purple Moldovan… nothing has appeared and while weeding the plot we expected to find trace of it somewhere… not a clove in sight!
